The Bournemouth Eye is Bournemouth's highest attraction and is available during the spring and summer months and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the English Channel and even beyond, you can see for 20 miles (awesome) It is located in the lower gardens and any age group are allowed on, wheelchair users are also very welcome, the balloon can carry 25 30 people at a time and reaches 500 feet, and the flight lasts for about 15 minutes. You can also go on at night time because the balloon is beautifully illuminated, and glows like the moon (stunning) creating a very romantic feel. Stroll along the promenade and look out to sea, step onboard a Dorset Belle boat and enjoy a relaxing cruise, as you admire the stunning scenery. When day turns to night the fun doesn't have to stop, Bournemouth still buzzes.

You must taste the fantastic mouth watering sea food that is on offer here, there is also American and Italian cuisine on offer as well as traditional English food, bars, bistros, takeaways and traditional pubs offering hearty meals. You must visit the Oceanarium where you can discover the mysteries of the deep (great family fun) If you fancy catching a film then head to the Imax Cinema and watch them in 3D.

There are many great places around Bournemouth that you must visit, and as Bournemouth is ideally situated you can get to them all very easily. Travel west from Bournemouth and you will discover the Jurassic coast that offers breathtaking views, great for walkers and cyclists. The New Forest is a very special place here you can wander around the forest and watch the grazing new forest ponies that roam freely. Stop and enjoy a New Forest cream tea in many of the tea rooms on offer around the forest, with homemade scones, clotted cream and jam (is your mouth watering yet?) Enjoy and admire the chocolate box cottages that you'll see as you make your way through the pretty villages.

The New Forest is a must for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life, a place you can chill out and unwind to recharge the batteries. There are many great family attractions around the New Forest including, Alice in wonderland family park, Beaulieu, with its famous motor museum and house, monkey world, the tank museum, Paultons park is fantastic family fun, for the young and young at heart, and many, many more.

Poole is 6 miles from Bournemouth and is a must for all water sport lovers, with its stunning natural harbour and the award winning, world famous Sandbanks beach, you just have to visit Poole. Bournemouth also holds many events including spectacular firework displays, heritage fairs, classic car rallies and many children's festivals that offer storytelling, puppet shows, and games for all the kids. Flowers by Candlelight is really lovely, here you can light a pretty candle in the gardens, on Wednesday evenings.

Enjoy the spectacular Friday night fireworks, The Great Dorset steam fair, Bournemouth's Live music festival, The Wimborne folk festival, just to mention a few.
